MAKE A VOTE PLAN

MAKE A VOTE PLAN!

MAKING A VOTE PLAN IS A PROVEN WAY TO MAKE VOTING HAPPEN.  PLANNING YOUR VOTE AND YOUR #PARTY TO THE POLLS FINALE WITH YOUR FRIENDS HELPS MAKES SURE EVERYONE CAN DO IT.

DON’T MISS THE PARTY!

DON’T FEEL OVERWHELMED! YOU DON’T HAVE TO VOTE FOR EVERYTHING ON THE BALLOT! IT’S MORE IMPORTANT THAT YOU VOTE FOR THE THINGS YOU CARE ABOUT THAN TO SIT OUT THE ELECTION COMPLETELY!

USE YOUR SAMPLE BALLOT OR USE OUR PDF’S BELOW TO HELP MAKE YOUR PLAN. KNOW THAT CELL PHONES ARE USUALLY NOT ALLOWED IN YOUR VOTING BOOTH SO PRINT OR WRITE OUT YOUR PLAN.

FYI, MANY STATES HAVE RESTRICTIONS ON CELL PHONES IN THE VOTING BOOTH, INCLUDING SELFIES WHICH MAY BE AGAINST THE LAW:

REMEMBER: ELECTION DAY IS TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 6TH, 2018.

EARLY VOTING, VOTE BY MAIL AND ABSENTEE DATES VARY BY STATE.

So, let’s begin:

If you still need to do some research, check out the non-partisan website www.BallotReady.org.

Find your nearest post office. Or buy a stamp at your local pharmacy, supermarket or maybe your student bookstore. Be sure to sign you ballot.! Then March the Mailbox with your friends.

37 States have some form of early voting. These are usually NOT at your election day polling place, but at several central locations within your county. But do check with your

your local Sectary of State or Board of Elections.

For example, in CA, most early voting centers have ballots for various precincts in your county. This means you can rideshare or carpool with your friends and do it together. If you vote early you get it done!!!!

Many states require you brinbg id. Be sure to check it.

I will walk, bike, skateboard, car pool, or whatever we decide it the best way to get ther.

OR I willrideshare with friends:

Uber is offering free rides to the polling stations on November 6th with the Get To The Polls Button on the App. They’re working with our Partner #VoteTogether.

Lyft offers a 50% discount and free rides in underserved communities through Partners like Voto Latino, Urban League and others.

I will pick a time to go and check what time my polling place is open.

I will ask my friends (and family?) to get together and come vote with me.
